The Main Materials And Advantages And Disadvantages of Large Round Knives

There are four main points on the market:

1. SKD-11 mold steel

Hardness HRC58-60, advantages are good toughness, not easy to break, low cost but lack of wear resistance, mainly suitable for die-cutting factory type customers.

2. High-speed steel HSS (M2)

Hardness HRC62-64, advantages are good wear resistance, deformation resistance, and toughness resistance is not as good as SKD11

3. High-speed steel SKH-51

Hardness HRC64, deformation resistance, wear resistance are higher than HSS (M2), toughness is not as good as HSS (M2), but it is more versatile

4. Tungsten steel alloy

Mainly suitable for cutting tape cloth-based soft materials, it has good wear resistance, long sharpening frequency, no rust, disadvantages are poor toughness, easy to break, high cost
